Sinéad White, soprano; Daniel Taylor, countertenor; Shane Hanson, tenor; Daniel Lichti, bass-baritone.

Among J.S. Bach’s approximately two hundred church cantatas are a number that call for solo voice only, rather than the customary combination of vocal soloists and chorus. This program features four such cantatas. A perfect illustation of Bach’s capacity to create musical magic with reduced performing forces.
